In a majestic scene, Kadhimain Holy Shrine Raises the Flag of Perseverance’s Victory over Shackles

Once again, Ahlul-Bayt followers renew their allegiance to Imam Musa Al-Kadhim (AS) by raising the flags of sorrow that implied meanings of forbearance in the way of God.
The flags clearly disclosed the life of the Imam who enriched the human conscience with lessons and sublime human values and at the same time expressed the profound passions the loyal followers of Ahlul-Bayt hold for their Imam who was poisoned to death at the hands of his oppressors.
On the 21st Rajab, 1443 (AH), i.e. the 23rd March 2022, the flags of the two domes of the Holy Shrine were replaced by black flags in a majestic ceremony attended by the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, the members of the Board of Directors, His Eminence Sheikh Husain Aal-Yaseen, the representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Ayatollah Sistani, the Holy Shrine’s delegations and some other prominent personalities from Kadhimiya and other cities.
The ceremonies were started by reciting Holy Quran which was followed by the entrance of the Holy Kadhimiya’s Mawakibs who came with black banners chanting the painful occasion.
Then, a speech delivered by the Secretary General of the Holy Shrine. The speech underlined lessons that we should learn from the life of our oppressed Imam, “we stand in this Holy Place today, renewing the pledge of allegiance and loyalty to him and tracing his blessed path.” he said. “The first step in obeying and following our Imams (AS), is to learn about them. Therefore, reviving the remembrance of AhlulBayt (AS), is actually a revival for ourselves”, he added.
There was also a speech for The Hawza Scholars Guidance Project delivered by His Eminence, Sheikh Husain Aal Yaseen.
The ceremony witnessed other activities including a poem written and recited by the poet Mustafa Al-Sa’igh. Some elegies were also recited by Karrar Al-Kadhimi on this painful occasion.
