KHS Secretariat General Carries Out 2nd phase of Infrastructure Project of Al-Qibla gate Courtyard

Following the first phase's completion of the Murad Gate Courtyard, under the auspices of the KHS Secretary-General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, the KHS Engineering and Technical staff proceed to work on the infrastructure project of the Qibla Gate courtyard.

The project is one of a series of important developmental projects carried out by the KHS Secretariat General and its efforts to preserve this Holy place and serve its esteemed visitors.

The project's completion steps saw the removal of the existing cladding layer, and the lifting of old granite tiles, then the phase of excavating new tunnels took place in the Qibla Gate courtyard and it was connected with excavated ones in the Murad Gate Courtyard, which will comprise an electric power system, lighting system, central cooling system, drinking water system (RO), rainwater system, fire extinguishing system, communication system, cameras, and audio system.

The Holy Shrine's floor will next be covered with high-quality (Thassos Marble Tiles), the same marble used in the holy site of Mecca and Al Masjid Al-Nabawi.

This alabaster will be donated by the followers of AhlulBayt (AS) through "World Federation of Khoja Shia Ithna-Asheri Muslim Communities (KSIMC)".

It is worth mentioning that the KHS Secretariat General is currently working on a number of engineering projects in accordance with time and spatial schedules appropriate to each project.
