Under the guidance of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, the delegation of Kadhimain Holy Shrine took part in the activities of the International Conference which was held by the Indonesian Council of Ulama in cooperation with Muslim World League in Jakarta, the capital.

The conference, which took place from May 21-23, 2023, had the title "Religion, Peace, and Civilization", in the presence of the Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Sheikh Prof. Dr. Maroof Ameen, and a number of religious and academics personalities from the Islamic countries.

On behalf of Shiite Endowment Diwan/ Kadhimain Holy Shrine, His Excellency, Dr. Sheikh Imad Al-Kadhimi, presented a research paper titled "The Islamic Approach in Calling for Peaceful Coexistence and Resolving Religious Disputes", and highlighted the Religious Authority’s vital role, particularly the Fatwas, statements, and stances of His Excellency Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Al-Hussaini Al-Sistani which calls for maintaining peaceful coexistence as well as promoting dialogue and citizenship at the level of Muslim sects in Iraq on the one hand, and at the level of different religions and nationalities on the other, and in a similar manner of what’s related to the global issues, the most important of which the Palestinian cause and the several statements emphasizing the need to rescue Palestine from the usurper entity.

For his part, the Indonesian Council of Ulama welcomed the participation of Shiite Endowment Diwan in such intellectual forums, reflecting a bright image of the Iraqi people and its sects.

The KHS delegation highly appreciated the efforts of the organizers of this international conference, wishing them more success in the future.
