Under the guidance of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, the KHS delegation accepted an invitation to attend the activities of the Seventh Cultural Festival of the Holy Defense Fatwa.

The festival was held by the Secretariat General of Abbas (P) Holy Shrine under the slogan “The Religious Authority is the Fortress of the Islamic Nation”.

The event which was attended by a distinguished number of religious, intellectual, and academic personalities, witnessed delivering several speeches shed light on the blessed fatwa which we are still indebted to for its blessings, its significant impact on Iraq’s recent history, and the enthusiastic response it received from the Iraqi people.

The festival also included several activities which are; reviewing the submitted scientific researches, announcing the winners of the short films contest concerning Fatwa and liberation battles, an Arabic Poetry contest, a special session on the tragedy of the Camp Speicher massacre, and honoring its martyrs’ families, as well as holding media workshop concerning the Fatwa and the victory.

The KHS delegation praised the efforts of the festival’s organizers, wishing them all more success.
