KHS Carpentry & Aluminum Unit Accomplishes Its Tasks at Iraqi Museum

Under the guidance of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, and within the framework of an agreement with the Board of Antiquities and Heritage about renovation and covering some of the holy shrine’s antiquities that exist at the Iraqi National Museum, the KHS Carpentry & Aluminum Unit has accomplished maintenance works which were divided into three phases, where the first phase included making a teak wooden table for a miniature sculpture of Kadhimain Holy Shrine that was made by the jeweler Mr. (Muhammad H. Al-Wardi), who gifted it to King Faisal II in 1953 AD.

The second stage entailed covering two antique wooden doors that were installed in the sacred shrine with a teak wood frame reinforced with iron and fixed glass panels on three sides.

The last phase involved finishing glass protectors for the wooden box, which dates back to (624 AH).

These blessed efforts were highly appreciated by members of the Board of Antiquities and Heritage and the Iraqi Museum.

The KHS Secretariat General is always keen to preserve the Islamic heritage in general, and the Kadhimian in particular, as well as Keeping the cultural legacy alive.
