President of the Shiite Endowment Diwan, KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, headed a delegation to attend the Third International Scientific Conference held by the Secretariat General of ‘Askari Holy Shrine/Samarra Heritage Center in cooperation with the University of Kufa/College of Jurisprudence and twenty-four other Iraqi universities under the slogan ('Askari Holy Shrine in Samarra: A metropolis of knowledge and legacy)

The conference was attended by a number of religious, scientific, and academic figures.

Many speeches were delivered during the event, including the speech of His Excellency the President of the Shiite Endowment Diwan, who said after welcoming the audience, “We are a part of the nation known as {Read Nation}, and as such, we must work hard and conscientiously to be worthy of bearing this title as the heirs of this nation." “Such blessed gatherings," he continued, “being held in Iraqi universities, Holy Shrines, and other institutions are not but clear evidence of promoting and embodying that great approach that enhances knowledge cross-fertilization among researchers in order to benefit science and society.”

The conference also witnessed other activities, including displaying a documentary film about the rehabilitation process of 'Askari Holy Shrine after the heinous attack on the Holy Shrine, and opening an exhibition of books and publications, and another photographic one that documented the criminal attack on the holy shrine.

The KHS delegation, for their part, praised the efforts of the conference’s organizers, wishing them more success.
