Al-Jawadain Library Cultural Seminar Holds Symposium Entitled: (Baghdad’s Role in Islamic Civilization)

The Cultural Seminar of Al-Jawadain Library held its 138th seminar, in the presence of a number of researchers and academic and intellectual personalities.

The seminar was started with reciting some verses of the Holy Quran, followed by a research paper entitled: (Baghdad’s Role in Islamic Civilization), presented by Dr. Sheikh Haider Al-Rikabi, a researcher, who shed light on several themes relating the establishment of Baghdad, its names and meanings, the Islamic civilization definition and its beginning, quotes of scholars about Baghdad and its status among countries back then, in addition to addressing the intellectual side of Shiite scholars in various sciences, and the stages of spreading Islamic civilization until it became a beacon of knowledge and science, starting with scholars gatherings, schools, libraries, etc.

The seminar was also enriched with the questions and discussions of the audience.
