Under the guidance of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, the KHS delegation, headed by the Deputy Secretary-General, accepted an invitation to attend the closing ceremony of the Third International Khatam al-Awsiyya Festival.

The ceremony was held at Imam Askari Holy Shrine under the slogan “The Luminosity of Heaven in the Land of Samarra,"  coinciding with the birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (May Allah Hasten His Reappearance). 

The festival, which lasted for three days, was attended by a number of religious, scientific, and cultural figures from inside and outside Iraq.

The event covered several activities, including delivering many speeches regarding the Mahdist cause and how the relation between the followers of AhlulBayt (AS) and the Imam of the Time (AAF) should be, and delivering poems celebrating the blessed occasion, besides the opening of the Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic decoration Exhibition with the participation of 12 Arab and Islamic countries.
