Under the guidance of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, Kadhimain Holy Shrine’s delegation accepted an invitation of Al-Qadisiyah University/ Faculty of Archaeology to attend its Fifth International Scientific Conference, held under the slogan: (Archaeology of Mesopotamia... The Memory of Generations and Their Source of Pride).

 The conference was attended by a number of scientific and academic figures, and those interested in history and heritage from inside and outside Iraq.

several speeches were delivered during the conference, highlighted the importance of archaeology, particularly in relation to ancient history, Islamic history, ancient languages, heritage studies, and the archaeological excavations and surveys, in addition to referring to Mesopotamian civilization's unique architecture throughout history and how it enhanced the ancient Near Eastern civilizations.

The KHS delegation, for their part, praised the efforts of the conference’s organizers, wishing them more success.
