Under the guidance and close follow-up of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, the KHS Engineering Affairs Department, in cooperation with the units of the Mechanical Engineering Division, installed new barriers for the Holy Mausoleum of Imamain Kadhimain (AS).

Eng. Nadia F. Al-Aasam, Head of Engineering Affairs Dept., stated to our website about these efforts, saying: “Under the guidance of KHS Secretary General Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, KHS engineering and technical staff made exceptional efforts to execute and install the new metal barriers. The design phase was the first to begin, by paying attention to the smallest details, decorations, and engravings that were inspired by the tomb cage design, in addition to its high durability specifications that can withstand the pressures resulting from the movement of visitors.

Eng. Al-Aasam continued, "The barrier measured 7.34 meters in length on Imam Kadhim's (AS) side, while it measured 7.30 meters in length and 2.46 meters in height on Imam Jawad's (AS) side.”

These barriers will contribute to organizing the movement of “males and females” and ensuring the smooth going of visitors in their entry and exit, as well as avoiding severe congestion during the millionth and weekly visits.
