The Cultural Seminar of Al-Jawadain Library held its 142nd seminar under the slogan “Cultural Reading on Sufficiency Defense Fatwa,"  coinciding with the tenth anniversary of the great Fatwa issued by the Supreme Religious Authority, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Hussaini Sistani, in 2014.

The cultural seminar was attended by a number of researchers, academic and intellectual personalities.

The seminar was started with reciting some verses of the Holy Quran, followed by a research paper, presented by Dr. Hussain Al-Qassid, a researcher, who shed light on the human and military features and dimensions of the Fatwa, which resulted in establishing a new culture that afforded the chance to defend the country when it was breached by terrorism, while also boosting the unity of Iraq and solidarity of Iraqis, and increasing national principles.

Dr. Al-Qassid underlined that the blessed fatwa marked a historic turning point in the country’s history, when Iraqis responded to it and showed the bright images of heroism and sacrifice, which will go on in the annals of history forever.

The seminar was also enriched with the questions and discussions of the audience.
