In commemoration of the sorrowful anniversary of the martyrdom of the Prophet of mercy, Prophet Mohammed (SAAW), coinciding on the 28th of the month of Safar, Secretariat General of Kadhimain Holy Shrine held the annual sessions of mourning within the holy courtyard of Imamain Kadhimain (AS).

The sessions of mourning included a series of lectures delivered by the Hussaini speaker, his Excellency Dr. Sheikh Ali Al-Shukri, who shed light on some moral lessons and the noble stances of the Holy Messenger (SAAW) towards the Islamic community, besides highlighting his blessed efforts in establishing a solid Islamic society with noble characteristics.

His Excellency also emphasized the importance of Muslims taking the Holy Prophet’s (SAAW) blessed biography as a model to follow.

Many poems of elegy were recited by a group of Hussaini reciters during the mourning sessions, which were attended by masses of mourners who came to commemorate this sorrowful occasion.
