KHS Delegation Attends Annual Interfaith Conference
Under the guidance of Dr. Haider Hassan Al-Shammari, Secretary-General of Kadhimain Holy Shrine, a delegation from the shrine attended the closing session of the Annual Interfaith Conference, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities. The conference was held under the title “Confronting Hate Speech and Rebuilding Trust Among Iraqi Society” and featured the participation of professors and researchers from various religions and sects, besides academics and social prominent figures.
The session included the presentation of five research papers emphasizing the principle of societal reform as a cornerstone for maintaining national unity and raising awareness regarding the importance of tolerance, dialogue, and diversity, with the aim of promoting love and peace while addressing contemporary challenges Iraqi society faces.
The conference also witnessed open dialogue sessions with the researchers. Sheikh Imad Al-Kadhimi, representing KHS, highlighted the role of Islamic Sharia in establishing principles of love and peaceful coexistence through the teachings of the Holy Quran and the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad and his progeny (PBUT), as well as the recommendations of the Supreme Religious Authority that promote tolerance-driven discourse.
Through its participation in the event, the KHS Secretariat General aims to strengthen shared human values, foster dialogue, and promote interaction among diverse religions, sects, and culture.
