Holy Quran Center Attains Third Position in National Quranic Competition

Under the guidance of the KHS Secretary General, Dr. Haider H. Al-Shammari, a number of KHS Holy Quran Center reciters participated in the Second National Quranic Competition, which was held by the Secretariat General of Holy Sanctuaries / Department of Religious Affairs & Holy Quran Sciences.

The Competition was hosted by the Holy Shrine of the Honorable Companion, Maytham Al-Tammar (RA), in the presence of groups of the Holy Quran’s reciters and memorizers with the participation of eight groups represented by (27) competitors.

The KHS team has attained the third position at Iraq level, with the participation of three reciters from the Holy shrine: Baqir A. Sahar, Mustafa H. Fadhil, and the memorizer Ali Hassoun.

It should be noted that the KHS Secretariat General is always keen to take part in such events in order to promote the Quranic culture among the local communities, strengthen the ties between the holy shrines and sanctuaries and the holy Quran centers, besides encouraging and developing young Quranic talents to represent Iraq in local and international Quranic forums.
